So the other night I got a super itching for some calzones. I've never made them myself so I decided to give it a try. YUMMY! So I thought I'd share with you my not-so-homemade way of making calzones.
Oh, and my oh-so-wonderful boyfriend let me borrow his super nice Canon SLR 12 megapixel camera... indefinitely (I borrow and use it more than he uses it)! So hopefully the quality of my photos will get MUCH better! My iPhone was nice and all, but I couldn't focus or any of that cool stuff...
First I got some rolled pizza dough from the refrigerated section. I split it into sections and rolled them out into oval-ish shapes

I grabbed a can of 4 cheese spaghetti sauce and spread it over the dough.

Then I topped it with some shredded mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, and cooked italian sausage. Oh, and we can't forget more cheese can we?

I folded the dough over on itself and pinched the ends. (One of them didn't fold so well...)

I tossed them in the oven at the temp listed on the dough package. About halfway through cooking, we melted some butter and mixed in garlic powder and grated Parmesan cheese. Then we brushed it on the top of the calzones (and the breadsticks we were also cooking... YUM!).

I let them cooked until done and then topped them with more Parmesan cheese... I love cheese :)

They went over really well with my family! I'll have to make them again someday soon :)
Have a good week!
