Easy Fleece Scarf

Things have been SO busy lately. I haven't had much time for anything. But I saw these scarves that I used to make with my mom back when I was in high school. We used my high school colors and even sold some at some of the soccer games. They're really easy to make and are quite comfy too :)

I made this years ago so I don't have pictures of the process but I tried to make some drawings in Photoshop as best as I can.




The first thing you need to do is get some fleece (I used 3 different colors, but you could vary up the number of layers for thickness and the colors) and figure out how long you want it. Then cut it that length by about 6 inches wide. It can be wider depending on what you want.


Then layer the panels directly on top of each other, lining up as best as possible. It doesn't have to be perfect because when you cut the strips, you won't really see the imperfections.


Now, sew a straight line down the center of the layered panels.


All that's left is to cut about 1 inch strips down each side. You want to cut almost to the stitch line but not too close. About 1/2 inch away should be good.



And VOILA! You have a fun and easy to make scarf :) Here's a close up of the strips:
