Just call me MacGyver.
What can you make out of a scrap piece of ribbon, a ponytail, and a needle and thread?

Why a headband of course!

Ok, I'm done sounding like some cheesy commercial :)
But seriously, I did have some scrap ribbon I wanted to do something with. I have used it on my Craft Box and Hair Bow board. And I only had about 8 inches or so left.
And it's green so it's perfect for St. Patty's Day. I work today and can't have jewelry (which can carry germs) or t-shirts (I wear scrubs) so I thought I could make a headband.
You know.
So I don't get pinched.
I don't like getting pinched.
I pinch back.
Random fact: I can pinch people with my toes. Seriously. And it's a hard pinch too. So don't make me angry. I might pinch you. With my toes :)
Anyways, first I cut the ponytail. I cut in the hard part where it's sealed together. So that both ends were still sealed over.

Then I sewed one end of the ponytail to the back of one end of the ribbon. I made sure to sew through the ponytail, around the ponytail, just every way to secure it well.

Then I turned the corners down and sewed those too.

Repeat on the other side and voila! Instant headband :)

I think it worked well. My hair, for the most part, falls over the stitched part so you can't even see it.

I think this could work well with any ribbon for any occasion. I love that I can wear this any time :)
Have a great St. Patty's Day!
