So my FAVORITE holiday is Christmas!
I love the whole atmosphere of it....
twinkling lights...
festive decorations...
family get togethers...
giving and receiving gifts...
warm fires...
cold weather...
hot chocolate...
christmas music...
I think Christmas even has it's own smell.
It's starting to smell like Christmas too.
Anyways... My house has it's first Christmas decoration!
I originally saw the idea on Pinterest:
I first found the vases at Marshall's for $8 each.
Then I had these clear ornaments I had gotten YEARS ago on clearance at Hobby Lobby or something.
I've got, like, a BILLION pine trees around my house so I just had to go pick out some pine cones.
And I have this problem.
When I get my mind set on something, I have NO patience.
So I just HAD to make these even though it was late at night.
So I used the my cell phone to search the yard for pine cones
So I'm pretty sure I looked like an idiot.
Outside.
In the middle of the night.
Using a cellphone as a flashlight.
Yep. I'm officially insane.
Anyways... I put together the vases, not using the limbs at first.
Then I decided I wanted to use the limbs.
But they aren't pine tree limbs.
Some other random tree limbs I found in my yard.
And I hung some of the ornaments on them.
I have them in the built in shelving in my living room.
I also added some extra pine cones around the bottom.
I'm SO EXCITED about my first Christmas decorations!
I REALLY need to get my tree up now!
Do you have any Christmas decorations up yet?
