Confession time:
My numbers have pretty much hovered the same for about 6 months.
And it kinda bums me out.
While I don't blog for the numbers, I do strive to post things others might be interested in.
And I don't get a whole lot of comments.
{note- comments make my day!}
So, anyways, I get SUPER excited when I gain a follower.
And I'm so close to 600 I can almost touch it!
{btw- I'm planning a giveaway for 600 followers!}
But I get pretty bummed out when I lose a follower.
I tend to over-analyze things.
What did I do wrong?
Did I offend someone?
Am I not interesting enough?
Should I post more often?
Should I be doing things different?
I'm also always checking my stats to see if anyone is actually reading my posts.
Yes, I stat stalk myself.
Am I the only crazy one out there?
Anyone else feel this way?
To better suit your tastes, what kinds of things would you like to see on Not So Homemade?

I think I have maybe 9 followers, and hardly ever get comments nor do I get responses when I comment on other blogs. I'm like you and I stat stalk myself, when I would link up posts to various big blogs, I would get tons of hits but hardly any comments. Love your blog btw! :)

Courtney, you are not alone! I think we all stat stalk ourselves and question what we might have done wrong when we lose a follower, even if we don't want to openly admit it. For what it's worth, I read every single one of your posts. You're one of the first blogs I began following, and still one of my favorites.
i was just stat stalking myself right before i read this :) don't worry about losing followers.
i love everything you do here but i voted for blog design help because your blog is so pretty :)
I love a good useful craft...not just something that hangs on the wall or sits on a shelf for looks. I prefer things that are useful to me in organizing my life, wearing, a bag...know what I mean? I also would love to see some Blog Design Tutorials :) I emailed you a while back about redoing my blog. If you have an interest in a trade, my email is myvibrantdesigns@gmail.com I'm a seamstress and you can find my shop at www.vibrantdesigns.etsy.com
Courtney I am totally with you, except I am almost at 500 followers!
I think everyone feels the same way! I've had much better luck getting to know the smaller bloggers. I've commented on the "big" blogs several times and never received a reply. I think they are just so busy! A couple of the bloggers I've gotten to know, started coming to my site and commenting on every single post. I would reply and visit their blog and now they feel like friends. But for the most part blogging feels really lonely!
no I definitely get paranoid when I drop a follower!! so sad!!
Hi there. I just wanted to say that I really like your blog, I just found it and I am a new follower.
i'm the same way... losing a follower is the WORST!
Losing followers is a source of my paranoiac fears. Our blog had 427 followers and when I checked earlier, it's down to 426. )=
But oh well, you know what they say. You can't please everyone.
